Your Professor has at least one guilty pleasure: watching Maury every single day! Have you ever noticed how many of the commercials on Maury are for those "colleges" and "universities" that look an awful lot like trade schools or student loan mills?
You'll enjoy this.

I have been to Job Corps not
I have been to Job Corps not the best or worst place to be but you can get some training for jobs a high school diploma and also in the right locations get a start on a degree and get one without paying for it. I am not saying this is the best thing in the world but it is pretty decent if you can stand the rules.
Real Universities.....
Look at who they're targeting. People who can sit on their ass all day and watch daytime TV. You have to market to that level or they're going to think it's too hard of classes to take.
One state, New Mexico, partners with their state lottery and offers any high school graduate a free scholarship to a number of State College and other qualifying schools.
Here's what it does......
•Pays 100% of tuition for eight consecutive semesters of eligibility beginning with the second semester of college enrollment
•May be used at 25 public colleges, junior colleges or universities in New Mexico.◦7 four-year institutions
◦10 two-year branch institutions
◦8 two-year independent institutions.
Over 68,000 students have used it since 1996.
Does any other state offer anything similar?
Private Schools
I work in health care in NM, and I can tell you that all the "private schools" are doing is giving the students DEBT. I hire folks all day long who spend 20,000- 30,000 to get a certificate for medical billing, or finish as a medical assistant. They are always sad to find out that when they go to a hospital that the job only pays 9-10 dollars an hour. It should be criminal for these schools to operate the way they do, but it is not. Most of the time the students dont even pay for it the state does. It just pisses me off. Go to a real school and than get a real job. I started at a community college and finished a nursing degree with no debt. I worked my ass off to do it but i got it done. Next month I finish my masters degree and again no debt.
Truth
It sad that when they do "graduate" there's a big celebrations, like they've accomplished a goal in life. It's more like, thanks for the 20K and here's this lifetime job placement assistance because that's how long it will take us to find you a job. #RealEducation
